Climate Interactive is attending the UNFCCC’s twentieth Conference of the Parties (COP 20) in Lima, Peru. We look forward to meeting as many members of the Climate Interactive community as possible. If you’re in Lima, please look for team members Ellie Johnston, Travis Franck, and Drew Jones. They will be sharing our En-ROADSC-ROADS, and Community Resilience simulations and analysis during both weeks of the conference.

Please join us for the following events:

US Center event: Simulating Global Climate Successes: An Interactive Exercise, Climate Interactive and MIT Sloan

**Description: **An audience-participation exercise in which the audience will propose climate solutions (e.g., energy efficiency, land use, renewable energy, methane emissions reduction) and facilitators will simulate the global temperature results in En-ROADS, a fast, scientifically grounded simulation. This will be a high-energy, engaging experience for the public and decision makers to explore energy and climate issues and build a grounded sense of hope for the future. En-ROADS builds upon C-ROADS, a simulation in use by the U.S. State Department and other parties.

Date/Time: Wed., Dec. 3 from 4-5:00pm

**Location: **US Center at COP 20 conference center

**Latin America and the Caribbean Climate Finance Day, **hosted by Zennström Philanthropies and Fundación Avina

**Description: **The session will present a set of policy and financial tools developed to prevent future climate risk and the associated negative financial implications. The Climate Interactive simulation will be part of “Session 6: What if? Policy and Financial Tools to Drive Change in Capital Investment.” The information and agenda is linked here.

Date/Time: Sat., Dec. 6 9am-6pm

Climate Interactive’s session, Session 6, will start around 4:30pm

**Location: **Swissotel Lima, Room Inka 1 and 2

**Adapting to Climate Change: A Human Mobility Perspective. Nansen Initiative and para 14(f) of CAF, **hosted by the government of Norway and the Norwegian Refugee Council (COP20 Side Event)

Description: Findings on human mobility in the context of climate change from the Nansen Initiative Regional Consultations. Practical experiences from regional and international organizations, national governments, and civil society in affected regions for implementing para 14(f) of 2010 Cancun Adaptation Framework. Climate Interactive will be demonstrating the Horn of Africa (HOA) model.

Date/Time: Thurs., Dec. 11 from 6:30-8:00pm

**Location: **COP20 Conference Center, Machu-Picchu (300)

Showing What’s Possible: Computer Simulation for Decision Makers (COP20 Side Event)

Description: Computer simulations can support decision-making. In this high-audience-participation event, Travis Franck and Ellie Johnston will interactively discover future climate scenarios with Climate Interactive’s global mitigation simulation, En-ROADS.

Date/Time: Friday, Dec. 12 from 11:30am-1:00pm

Location: COP20 Conference Center, Machu-Picchu (300)
